What does this Privacy Statement cover?
This Privacy Statement provides information about personal data which are collected and processed in the context of the EV Charging Service Trial.
What data do we process?
Powershop may process some or all of the following types of data:
Contact details including name, email address, postal address and country – this information will come from your Powershop account;
Vehicle type and other vehicle information and attributes; should you choose to provide this;
Charge session details (including charge session start / stop time, duration, energy delivered, charge point identifier and location, tariff, cost, user identification);
Your location data (with your consent) in order to make it possible for you to use the navigation option, to receive charging notifications or to enable you to notify us about faults with charge points;
information you provide to us when you contact us regarding our services, e.g. when you provide feedback or report an issue.
Your mobile device will automatically share certain data with us because the device interacts with the EV Driver App.
Purposes for processing the data collected
In the context of the EV Charging Service trial, personal data is processed for the purposes of:
Enabling users to search for charge points in the area and retrieve indicative pricing based on their location.
Enable users to perform charge sessions via the EV Driver App.
Billing users for the EV charge sessions via their Powershop accounts.
Being able to view the charge history within the EV Driver App.
Allowing users to operate their EV Driver App account.
Enabling service communication emails, related the EV Driver App and the trial, from Powershop.
To assist with enquiries and provide customer support.
Improving and developing our products and services, including by collecting information that helps us understand how you and our other customers use our services and applications and to track our performance and your interactions with us;
How we collect information from you
We may collect information about you, for the EV Charging Service trial:
From the information for your existing Powershop account;
From your use of the EV Driver App;
From third party charge point operators where you charged your vehicle using the EV Driver App;
Directly from you (for example over the phone or when you report an issue or provide feedback on the service).
Cookies
Cookies may be used to collect performance and usage information, on the EV Driver App, for reporting and analytics purposes. Please refer to the Powershop Cookie Policy for more details.
How long do we keep your data for
Personal data processed by Powershop in line with this Privacy Notice will be deleted or rendered anonymous (such that it will no longer be possible to identify you);
After 10 years for all subscribed services from our last interaction with you (that is where you have not used our services for 10 years);
In relation to financial transactions, your personal data will be held for 10 years from the transaction.
In all cases information may be held for (a) a longer period of time where there is a legal or regulatory reason to do so (in which case it will be deleted once no longer required for the legal or regulatory purpose) or (b) a shorter period where the individual objects to the processing of their personal data and there is no longer a legitimate business purpose to retain it. Disclosure of your information We may disclose your personal information to authorised service providers who support and help us manage the EV Charging Service and the EV Driver App Your data is hosted in Australia. However, in some cases, the parties we disclose your information to may be located outside Australia. As an indication, the countries in which these third parties are located include the United States of America, India, the European Economic Area and Israel. In all cases, we take organizational, contractual and legal measures to ensure that your personal data are exclusively processed for the purposes mentioned above and that adequate levels of protection have been implemented to safeguard your personal data.
