How to refer your friends with Switch Your Mates
It's easy on the Powershop App!
Just click your very own individual referrer link that has already been created for you that you can share with friends and family.
Then refer to these three simple steps.
Haven't got the Powershop App?
Available on the App store for Apple devices, or the Google Play store for Android devices.
Step 1
You click the ‘Invite a friend’ button on the Switch Your Mates page. Share it with your friends and family, by pasting the link into a message via email, SMS or WhatsApp.
Step 2
Your friend receives your message, and signs up to Powershop using your invite.
Step 3
If your friend successfully switches to an eligible Powershop electricity plan using your unique referral link, you'll receive a $75 electricity credit on your electricity bill. You'll get an email notification when your mate makes the switch.
What's in it for them?
We won’t leave your mates hanging.
If they use your referral link to sign up, they could be eligible for the $75 Friend Credit (incl GST) on their first bill.
Plus, eligible customers could also receive:
an extra $200 electricity Sign-Up Credit (incl GST) if they take up our Switch Saver electricity plan.**
an extra $100 gas Sign-Up Credit (incl GST) if they take up our Power House gas plan.**

If you have a Powershop electricity account and successfully refer a friend, family member or business who is eligible to receive the $75 Friend Credit (incl GST) and signs up with Powershop online via your unique referral code by 31 December 2026 as an offset against the charges on your Powershop electricity bill. Offer only available in VIC, NSW, SA and South East Queensland.
