Our generation

Location: Eyre Peninsula, South Australia
Output: Approximately 180 GWh of renewable energy each year (35 turbines).
That means: Enough to power around 36,000* households.
Humble brag: The Mt Millar Wind Farm was the first wind farm in South Australia to use direct drive turbines that don’t have gear boxes.
Location: Mount Mercer, Victoria
Output:Approximately 400 GWh of renewable energy each year (64 turbines).
That means: Enough to power around 80,000* households.
Humble brag: The power that’s generated at Mt Mercer is enough to result in a reduction of some 510,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
Location: Leonard’s Hill, Victoria
Output: The farm’s two turbines, Gale and Gusto produce about 11 GWh per year.
That means: Enough clean energy for over 2000* homes.
Humble brag: Hepburn Wind is the owner and operator of Australia’s first community-owned wind farm. We partner with Hepburn Wind to manage Gale and Gusto and provide top class expertise to help maintain the community owned wind farm.
Location: Woorndoo, Victoria
Output: Annual output of 172 GWh.
That means: It will have capacity to power around 34,000* homes.
Humble brag: A 2012 study found that for every 50 MW in capacity, a wind farm delivers $250,000 per year for farmers in land rental income and $80,000 on community projects each year.
Location: Pyramul, NSW
Output: Crudine Ridge will produce approximately 414 GWh of renewable energy.
That means: Once operational, it will generate enough energy for around 80,000* homes.
Humble brag: The estimated annual greenhouse gas savings from the Crudine Ridge project is 325,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
Location: Hume Dam, Murray River, NSW
Output: Approximately 203 GWh of renewable energy each year.
That means: Enough to power around 40,000* households.
Humble brag: Hydro power accounted for 33.9 per cent of the renewable electricity produced in Australia in 2017.
Location: Burrinjuck Dam, Murrimbidgee River, NSW
Output: Approximately 81 GWh of renewable energy each year.
That means: Enough to power around 16,000* households.
Humble brag: The dam is about 60 kilometres south-west of Yass. Unfortunately, the cast of Queer Eye did not visit when they were filming in Yass. We did offer though.
Location: Namoi River, NSW
Output: Approximately 10 GWh of renewable energy each year.
That means: Enough to power around 2,000* households.
Humble brag: Hydroelectricity doesn’t consume any water; all the water goes back into the river after use.
Location: Tanjil, Victoria
Output: About 9GWh of renewable energy every year.
That means: Enough to power around 1,800* households.
Humble brag: Signing the Blue Rock PPA, and other PPAs in 2018 helped us to drop prices for our customers across Australia.
