Places We Love: Powershop is getting ready for Earth Hour 2016
by Powershop on

This Saturday 19 March at 8:30pm, we’re switching off our lights (in the office & our homes) to protect the Places We Love to support Earth Hour 2016.
Earth Hour is a global campaign that encourages people across Australia and the world to switch their lights off for one hour to draw attention to global warming and to think about what we can do to help tackle it.
In Australia, we’re lucky to be able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor lifestyle that a lot of us do. So this year, the good people behind Earth Hour are asking everyone to share the incredible places they love, to help protect them from the threat of climate change.
“From beaches, rainforests and rivers, to snow-capped mountains, coral reefs and lakes, we have one of the most beautiful countries in the world. But the healthy, outdoors lifestyle we enjoy is under threat from rising temperatures and more extreme weather caused by carbon pollution – it only takes a small change in the climate to mess up the delicate balance of nature.” from the Earth Hour website.
Here at Powershop, we’re chock full of staff members who love getting outdoors. From the Swiss Alps to Argentina to Apollo Bay, the Powershop crew have been to some incredible destinations, and we’re excited to be able to share them in support of Earth Hour 2016.
Without further ado and kindly contributed by the staff here at Powershop, we hope you enjoy scrolling through our gallery of all the Places We Love.
