Carbon calculator
At Powershop, being carbon neutral is kind of a big deal. All the electricity we supply to our customers is 100% carbon neutral (at no extra cost). No need to opt in or pay more – it’s done for you, behind the scenes.
We’re the first power company in Australia to be certified carbon neutral under the Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard, backed by the Australian Government.
Whether you’re a Powershop customer or not, we’ve put together this simple, handy calculator to help you see your household’s carbon emissions generated from electricity usage at your home or business (this is important because about one third of Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions are from electricity emissions).
Choose your state
(each state has a different emission factor).
Enter your home or business's kWh electricity usage.
(For Powershop customers, this can be found in your Powershop bill, online account or smartphone app).
Please add numbers only.
Your emissions result is:
0.0000
Tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.
ResetSource: Australian Government - Department of the Environment and Energy.
Note: If you are a Victorian Powershop customer the emissions shown on this calculator will not be consistent with the emissions shown on your Powershop bill due to two different emission factors being used (Victorian Government Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning emission factor for the Powershop bill and NCOS emission factor for this calculator).
South WA represents Albany, north through to Bunbury, Perth then up to Geraldton.
North WA represents Port Headland and its surrounding towns.
