Free Power Day Terms and Conditions

Powershop Australia Pty Ltd (Powershop) is offering free electricity usage to its customers for a specified date and duration, to be determined at Powershop’s sole discretion (Free Power Day).

To be eligible to participate in Powershop’s Free Power Day, you must meet the following eligibility criteria and accept the terms and conditions set out below, as amended by Powershop from time to time.

1. Current Powershop Customer Terms and Conditions
(a) To be eligible to participate in a Free Power Day you must:
(i) be a current Powershop customer;
(ii) have a smart meter installed; and
(iii) be one of the first 30,000 customers to register for each Free Power Day you want to participate in via powershop.com.au/freepowerdays by providing your name, email address and account number.

(b) On a Free Power Day, we will cover the cost of your electricity usage (Current Customer Saving). This does not include your gas usage or your daily supply charge. Electricity usage charges will be calculated using Powershop’s rates from the residential single rate tariff applicable to your distribution area and current offer. If your current offer is the Shopper market offer, the charges will be calculated using Powershop’s Power Saver rates.

(c) Within 5 business days of the Free Power Day, your Current Customer Saving will be applied to your Powershop account.

(d) The Current Customer Saving is only available for use with Powershop for purchasing electricity products and cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash. There is only one Current Customer Saving applied each Free Power Day per account and the Current Customer Saving is not available in conjunction with any other promotional offers available through Powershop from time to time.

(e) A Free Power Day may occur on any day of the week.

(f) Powershop will provide between one (1) hour and five (5) days’ notice to customers of an upcoming Free Power Day.

(g) A Free Power Day will commence at midnight and end twenty four (24) hours later, unless varied by Powershop in its sole discretion.

(h) Business customers, which include residential customers on business tariffs, are expressly excluded from participating in a Free Power Day.

(i) Residential customers with a basic meter are expressly excluded from participating in a Free Power Day.

2. New Powershop Customer Terms and Conditions
(a) If you are not a current Powershop customer, to be eligible to participate in a Free Power Day you must join Powershop:=
(i) via powershop.com.au/freepowerdays; or
(ii) over the phone by calling 1800 462 668 and reference the Free Power Day promotion between the period commencing from the date an upcoming Free Power Day is announced until 24 hours after the Free Power Day has concluded.

(b) Once you’ve been switched to Powershop and after the 10 business day cooling off period, a promotional amount of ten dollars ($10) will be applied to your account in full satisfaction of the Free Power Day offer for free electricity usage (New Customer Saving). This may take up to 5 weeks to be applied to your account.

(c) The New Customer Saving is only available for use with Powershop for purchasing electricity products and cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash. There is only one New Customer Saving per account. The New Customer Saving is not available in conjunction with any other promotional offers available through Powershop from time to time.

(d) For all subsequent Free Power Days, you must register to participate and meet the eligibility criteria set out in ‘Current Powershop Customers Terms and Conditions’.
